Michael Page is currently looking for a Release Coordinator to join this growing financial institution, assisting their centralised release team. Working with a variety of teams and managing the overall process of releases, this role is offering a 12 month, fixed term contract, with a competitive salary.

Description

Your primary function as a Release Coordinator will be to take control of the delivery of releases and changes across infrastructure, applications and other systems, to achieve critical business outcomes and benefits. To achieve this, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Coordination of the planning, scheduling, monitoring, control and delivery of both small and large concurrent releases across multiple projects.
  • You will coordinate a virtual team of subject matter experts, including project managers, test leads, and technical leads to enforce time frames, quality and release gates for a successful delivery.
  • Monitoring and coordination of the overall release process, including taking actions to identify and correct issues to ensure delivery of releases within agreed scope, schedule and quality.
  • Ensure the delivery of releases is compliant with corporate methodologies, processes, policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Develop, manage and maintain the reporting and documentation of current and future releases.
  • Develop, manage and maintain the communication to internal and external stakeholders regarding releases.
  • Educate and inform stakeholders on the service transition, release management process, procedures and practices.

Profile

You as the successful candidate for this role, will have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Demonstrated experience planning, scheduling, and managing complex projects, changes and releases within an enterprise environment.
  • Mature understanding of complex ICT applications, infrastructure and systems in a diverse enterprise ICT environment.
  • Superior communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal) with experience communicating with a variety of users with ranging skill-sets and positions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, organisational skills and the ability to take an inclusive, collaborative and engaging approach to negotiate and influence a broad range of people across all levels.
  • Previous experience and an understating of Agile project management methodology, Prince 2, and ITIL Practices.
  • Ability to work outside of core business hours and on weekends to support critical business operations.
