Kordia is one of Australia's largest Telecommunications Systems Integration service delivery organisations.  We specialise in designing, building and operating challenging and critical telecommunications systems throughout Australia. We also work for the Government on their communication networks and Cyber Security.

Due to a recent successful tender, we will be conducting a large amount of work across all of Australia and require up to 20 Technicians and Riggers Nationally.

This position sits in our field operations business and focuses on the physical delivery of projects to our clients. To be successful in this role you will be required to do:
Technicians

• Providing swap outs, installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair support of customer telecommunications equipment and systems
• Installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair support of Client Radio Network systems
• Installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair support of Mobile Data Networks
• Installation and Maintenance of Operational Vehicle Electronic Systems and associated data networks
• Conducting line of site surveys
• Installation and maintenance of antenna and feeder cables on monopoles, roof tops and towers which will require regular climbing and heights up to 30 meters.
• Ensuring that QHSE Policy requirements are observed and followed and any hazard or non

Riggers

• PIM testing, sweep testing, distance to fault, terminating feeders, bird proofing and waterproofing connectors.
• Swapping out and decommissioning mobile telecommunication sites.
• Upgrading existing mobile telecommunications sites
• Installation and maintenance of antenna and feeder cables on monopoles and towers 
• Checking, maintain and operating equipment in accordance with the requirements of safety, efficiency and calibration procedures
• Rigging and general work within the limits of your competency and qualifications, as required by the company
• Use of EWP's
• Working at heights/rigging
• Providing and participating in on-the-job training (when required) e.g. rescue training, trainee riggers
• Assisting with installations, moves, additions, changes, maintenance and repair support for customer telecommunications
• Completing all tasks to a high quality standard in compliance with Customer and Kordia procedures
• Maintaining / achieving SLA timeframes for above whilst providing all necessary updates to the Site Managers and Kordia network Management Centre
• Ensuring all working at heights activities are performed by all team members safely and in accordance with Kordia safety procedures
• Ensuring that OH&S Policy requirements are observed and followed 

  
The ideal applicant will have the following skills and qualifications:
Technicians:

• A certificate or diploma certification with Electro-Technology or Telecommunications engineering 
• Possession of an ACMA Cabling Registration
• RF Awareness Certificate
• Industry Construction Card
• Australian (C Class) Drivers Licence for a manual vehicle
• 3+ years' experience installing and commissioning GSM/WCDMA/LTE radio access network equipment
• Experience installing and intimate familiarity with the current suite of Nokia, Huawei and Ericsson BTS products.
• Experience installing and commissioning of DC Rectifiers, Batteries and DC power distribution
• Experience installing and commissioning of transmission systems including PDH, SDH, DWDM, ATM, IP and Carrier Ethernet
• Analytical approach to fault resolution and use of test equipment
• High levels of verbal and written communications skills
• Willingness to travel regularly to site across the state for installations and possibly interstate
• Experience in installation and maintenance of antenna and feeder cables on monopoles, roof tops and towers, including hybrid fibre systems (desirable) 
• Willingness to work at heights with ability to comfortably operate at heights regularly (i.e. climb 30 metre monopoles would be highly desirable).

Riggers:

• 3 + years previous telecommunications rigging experience (essential)
• Experience and strong knowledge of Nokia, Huawei and Ericsson 3G, 4G equipment - 6000 series
• Experience with Anritsu Site Master 
• Experience with earthing requirements
• Working at heights certified with the ability to comfortably operate at heights regularly (i.e. climbing up to 80 metres). Previous climbing experience is essential
• Solid knowledge of telecommunication rigging techniques and best practice
• A current Certificate in Rigging (Advanced or intermediate)
• Ability to pass a 'Fit to climb' medical certificate
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practice
• First Aid Certificate
• Tower rescue Certificate
• Working at Heights
