A large, delivery-focused organisation is seeking to engage a Junior Automation Tester on a 7 month contract to perform crucial test automation duties. You will be responsibile for identifying and subsequently defining the required tests, executing and/or automating these tests, monitoring the test coverage and evaluating the overall quality experienced when testing the target test items.
This is a 7 month contract opportunity commencing ASAP, based in Brisbane's inner suburbs. Junior testers and graduates are welcome to apply for this opportunity.
Key Responsibility breakdown:
- 20% manual testing accountabilities
- 30% automated functional testing
- 30% unit testing duties
- 10% documentation
- 10% ensuring adherence to team processes, policies and business methods
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in manual, functional, and unit/integration testing
- Knowledge of and experience using Git
- Ability to write functional automated tests, with preference in Javascript
- Ability to write Unit and integration tests with preference in both Javascript and PHP
- Ability to translate business goals into functional test plans
- Ability to manage code using Git
Highly Desirable:
- Experience with continous integration/automation testing
- Experience with API testing, security testing and/or accessibility testing
- Experience with software testing best practices: Page object model, TDD, BDD.
- Experience in self managed teams
- Degree qualified in a relevant field
