VO are looking for an enthusiastic Web Developer to join our fun, hardworking and dynamic team. VO is a creative agency with a modern, spacious and high-tech headquarters here on the sunny Gold Coast. The team at VO are adaptable, work in a fast-paced yet supportive workplace, and love a challenge. So if that's you, read on!
This is the chance to show off your excellent web development skills, whilst working in a collaborative team on exciting, big brand projects! You will be joining the graphic/digital design and marketing team developing new websites and web-based software platforms, as well as enhancing and maintaining existing websites. This role can be challenging when it comes to exceeding our clients' needs, so you will need to have a lot of energy and be able to think ''outside the box'!
Please ensure your experience meets the following checkpoints before you apply:
- Must have 3-4 years of web development experience and knowledge with Shopify is essential
- Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL
- Experience with Shopify’s theming system and Liquid templating.
- Experience with Shopify apps.
- Experience developing for responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Experience working with 3rd party services and APIs.
- Wordpress experience
- Customising Wordpress themes
- Experience with WHM & cPanel
- Strong knowledge of responsive design & implementation
- Sharp eye for detail
- Good internal communication skills
Desirable skills:
- Understanding of SEO principles
- Experience of implementing and understanding analytics
- Experience in using Photoshop and Illustrator
The successful candidate will:
- Have a strong focus on user experience

- Love setting tasks and ticking them off
