Urgent and immediate requirement for a Wireless Engineer in Brisbane.

Title: Wireless Engineer
Location: Brisbane
Type: Contract (10 months + extensions)
Experience Required:

• Exposure/experience in Safety ideally in the Mining or the Resources Industry;
• Previous experience in operational support of mission critical services in large scale environments, preferably mining/resources;
• Strong experience with leading wireless vendor technologies such as Rajant, 3DP, TropOs, Cisco, Motorola, Zebra, Cambium;
• Strong experience in vendor specific management tools such as Rajant BC Commander, ABB SuprOS and Cisco WLC;
• Desired experience in Fleet Management Systems including autonomous systems, e.g. CAT MineStar Command, Atlas Copco Surface Manager, Modular, and Driver Safety System;
• In-depth knowledge of RF communications standards and specifically with 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz bands, and license frequencies.
• Strong experience in Wireless Protocols such as Rajant instamesh; Motomesh; Meshconnex; zebra; TropOS Mesh and Cisco;
• Strong experience in Layer 2 and 3 switching networks;
• Strong experience with designing networks from the ground up;
• Experience in Windows operating systems, storage technologies, virtualization technologies, Citrix in a mining environment;
• Good understanding of safe maintenance processes, and the maturity levels of a maintenance organization;
• Infrastructure/network management experience in IT and / or process control in a large and remote environment;
• Familiarity of Service-Now (or familiarity with ITSM systems) and SAP;
• Proven track record in delivery of support services;
• Knowledge, use and configuration of Asset Health Monitoring Tools; and
• Problem solving and understanding of root cause analysis techniques.
