The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the fastest growing Microsoft Data Insights and Analytics partner in Australia.  Empired currently is a member of exclusive Red Carpet programs with Microsoft Corporation in Redmond and is the award winner for Microsoft ‘Excellence in Business Insights and Data 2016!’. 
  
Your initial engagement will keep you on your toes, leading an exciting reporting redesign project for one of Empired’s key, Sydney-based clients! In addition, you will also manage multiple, concurrent DI/BI projects across a wide variety of industries and clients. You will also:

• Lead and motivate project teams to drive the success of project and task timelines
• Maintaining and controlling cost, schedule and quality of project activities to run on budget, time and agreed customer requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PM methodologies and best practice
• Communicate with key stakeholders regarding the status of project timelines, tasks, and issues

This permanent or contract role will see you leading an experienced, talented project team while working on innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies!
  
The Experience:

To excel in this role you will have strong Project Management experience along with:

• 5+ years experience as Project Manager, leading large Data warehousing/Business Intelligence/Integration/Analytics projects (budgets of $1mil+)
• Previous experience managing projects in a vendor/consulting capacity
• Ability to develop project deliverables such as financial, communication, risk and quality plans
• Illustrated experience in managing commercial and contractual aspects of projects, including strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Proven ability to manage scope and control change in a dynamic project environment
• Prince2 Certified, Agile and SCRUM Master certified
• Knowledge of Azure, datawarehousing and data factories, PowerBI desirable
• Knowledge of data warehouse methodologies (Kimbal, Inmon, Data Vault) desirable
• Technical background in database development, design & architecture, data analysis or data management highly regarded
• Knowledge of DAMA highly regarded
• Excellent people skills – great influencer, passionate about developing teams, loved and respected by customers
