Solutions Engineer - (Java / JavaScript / Ruby on Rails / Python / Golang) – $75-110K + Super

The role
 
The Support Engineers are some of the most important people in the company, the front-line to making the customers happy and helping them be successful. This position provides the opportunity to dive headfirst into the complexities of technical systems monitoring and you must be able to learn quickly while thinking on your feet.
 
You will have exposure to some of these technologies – Linux, Java, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, Python or Golang BUT ONLY need to have an entry level understanding of one of these languages and lots of passion to learn to be considered.
 
In a typical day you will be checking Slack, looking at what has been happening in other regions, being assigned or assigning tasks to help solve customer queries. You will also pair up and troubleshoot technical issues together where necessary.
 
You will be Contributing to innovative side projects, adding to internal documentation and learning over 200+ tools, API’s and plugins. In this role you will engage customers on the phone or work with them face to face which will add variety to your day.

Key responsibilities

• Join a tightly knit team of generalists solving hard problems the right way by being intelligent, prompt and resourceful.
• Respond to customer requests, quickly, accurately and with a smile.
• Reproduce issues and file bugs.
• Build out documentation, including writing API examples.
• Driving product conversations based on needs and problems learned during client

What tech skills we want to see

• Strong technical trouble shooting with customers, comfortable with at least of these languages - Java, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, Python, Golang.
• Understanding of Linux, Sys Admin, DevOps would help.
• Plenty of gusto to learn a lot and share with the team.

Bonus Points

• A degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering
• Active contribution to open-source projects (code, bug reports, etc)
