An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Operations Manager that is part of a Government established shared service. This medium sized company are currently going through an exciting business change which will see a review and rejuvenation of processes & strategic initiatives.
This is a newly created role within the organisation which will support the CEO and work closely with other IT Executives nationally.
With 4 direct reports across 4 divisions and a total of 30 in IT your role be to ensure that all teams are running cohesively with a strong focus on continuous improvement & exceptional customer service where operational standards are always exceeded.
Teams Managed include:
- The Service Desk
- Deployment/Field Service
- Technical/Application Support
- Operational Support
In this role you can really make a difference not only across people management/performance but also be a key influencer & driver in advising on strategic initiatives across the IT groups. Having a consultative approach and advising on innovative technologies to assist the business at an operational level is imperative.
To be considered for this role you must have the following:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in an IT Operational Management role
- Proven experience uplifting IT Teams with tangible evidence
- Solid experience managing medium IT teams
- Strong experience in understanding operational business technologies & giving strategic advise on IT products
- Excellent communication skills where building rapport with teams is imperative
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Process management experience.
This role is an exceptional opportunity for someone who has the drive and correct experience in an IT Operational Managemnt role. Overall this position has a great mix of BAU & greenfield projects coupled with the management and uplift of some already well established teams.
