To meet Modis’ continuously growing pipeline of work, we are looking for a Lean Analyst to join the team to support and drive our expanding business. In this role you will be responsible for undertaking process reviews and improvements for a highly critical programme of work.

Duties

  • Support our client in the design, development, and implementation of business processes within the organisation using the Lean Management and/or Six Sigma framework for process improvement.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops to deliver process improvements which support the strategic direction of the business; ensure sustained delivery of new process solutions
  • Assist the client with the development of new business processes, diagnosis of current problems, and redesign, reconstruct, and monitor processes to make sure they are effective.
  • Leverage industry best practice to solve business problems and support the drive for achieving excellence through service quality
  • Ensure a clear focus on improvements that add value to operational delivery, whilst ensuring compliance with quality management systems
  • Support training, coaching and mentoring of staff to develop business wide understanding of Lean principles and methods which will underpin cultural transformation
  • Ensures project team members and sponsors are provided with common operating picture of project performance.

Skills & Experience

  • Has a strong understanding of Lean methodologies and their application within an operational / engineering / safety orientated environment
  • Expert Knowledge of Lean principles and techniques including value stream mapping, 5S workplace organisation and problem solving
  • Demonstrate knowledge of methods for sustaining improvements and evidence of previous application
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to gain commitment and buying from a full range of stakeholders; ability to communicate at all levels from operatives to senior managers
  • Ability to work within a multi-functional team and the ability to use own initiative
  • Demonstrates resilience and the ability to work under pressure; high level of self-organisation and motivation
  • Strong analytical capabilities, able to use numerical reasoning to determine solutions
  • Ability to constructively challenge the modus-operandi
  • Able to work within a team, seek support when needed but drive direction independently

Essential experience

  • Expert knowledge continuous improvement process methodologies
  • Can demonstrate previous facilitation and design of new processes/methods and implementation within a business-critical environment
  • Experience gained from an operational or engineering process background and experience of working within in a high speed, time critical environment.
  • Proven knowledge of Lean processes and detailed process mapping with a keen attention for detail
  • Implementing and embedding new processes and enabling tools through training and reskilling teams
