We are a growing team that will rely on you to take responsibility for your tasks each day to help our customers solve their IT challenges. You enjoy a challenge and learning new knowledge and and working both in a team and by yourself.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Your job will entail the following:

  • Finding the best solutions for challenges (ie, problems!) that come our way.
  • Windows and Mac based computer diagnosis and repair.
  • Interacting (phone, email and in-person) with customers to provide guidance and support for all of their IT issues.
  • Driving to customers' businesses and homes to provide IT support.
  • Building and setup of new computers, laptops and servers. Copying user data from old computers to new computers.
  • Setup of Microsoft Office 365 tenancies for business customers.
  • Provide remote service desk and onsite support (within Sydney and surrounds) to a variety of environments from 1 - 50 users.
  • Desktop, server and application support within Microsoft Windows, Active Directory and Office 365 environments.
  • Level 2-3 support across many technologies.
  • Assist with the configuration and installation of Windows Servers, networking and other IT equipment.
  • Using the software applications used within the business to record your time taken, tasks completed and the results for each job.
  • Meeting (and hopefully exceeding!) KPIs.

Skills and experience

You will need to have the following skills and experience to be a top Computer Troubleshooter:

  • Australian permanent resident status.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, vendors and others.
  • Be passionate about technology and IT.
  • Well-developed research, analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • 2 or more year's experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Windows.
  • Great knowledge of Windows PC and notebook systems with disassembly and assembly skills.
  • Knowledge of PC, laptop and peripherals hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of general networking concepts and network troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to explain technical issues in basic plain English terms.
  • Excellent Help Desk support and customer service skills. 
  • A desire to help people.
  • A need to have fun and the need for speed.
  • A current NSW driver's licence and the ability and confidence to drive to customer sites anywhere in Sydney and surrounds.

It would be great if you had:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 administration.
  • Good knowledge of domain management.
  • Able to install, manage and support general software applications.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Professional certifications e.g. Microsoft
