About our client
Our client is a global professional services organisation who work with the largest commercial businesses in the world. In Australia their technology team supports 5 offices and over 600 people. They currently are looking for Systems Administrator with Networking & Unified Communications experience to join their office in Brisbane. 

About the role
As a member of the Technology Systems Administration Team this position is responsible for the installation, management, maintenance, support and optimisation of the organisations networking and server environment. This includes Windows/Linux servers and Cisco networking products. 

Day to day you will:

• Automate tasks and ensure operating systems are performing well. 
• Manage the UC platforms
• Disaster Recovery requirements have been updated 
• Remove manual steps by leveraging different automation frameworks
• Automate deployment and maintenance using automation tools such as Powershell DSC, Cloudformation 
• Manage project autonomously and as part of matrix teams
• Support users and the business
• Investigate problems 
• Create and maintain documentation
• Be a technical leader in the business for Automation

About you
You will have commercial experience working in a busy professional organisation where you are driven to deliver to internal stakeholders. Without the following technical experience you will struggle to hit the ground running, BUT more importantly you will need to be a proactive client focused technologist who is always driving to delivery the best solution for the internal business. 

Technical environment includes some of the following:

• Hands-on OS experience - networking and security
• Strong expertise in the area of Networking and Unified Communications
• Windows and Linux
• Agile
• Scripting in C# .Net PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, etc.
