The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for a senior engineer to join the team and play a pivotal role in the technical delivery of projects and BAU services across multiple technologies.
Attention to detail, a strong commitment to doing the job well, and being on top of the game technically are all essential attributes for this role.
The Responsibilities
- Manage, implement and troubleshoot server and network infrastructure as well as business applications for managed clients
- Manage, implement and support hosted VoIP solutions
- Manage workload and ensure tasks are completed on time and within target completion dates
- Keep Clients informed as to progress of tasks and set realistic expectations to completion dates and status updates in a professional, concise and informative manner
- Participate as part of a team and maintain good relationships with team members and clients.
- Mentor technical members of the team and act as a point of technical escalation and problem resolution
The Skills
- Must love working in MSP environment on client sizes of between 20 - 100 users
- Proven experience in day to day service delivery and project activities
- Ability to apply technology and consulting to solve a client business problem.
- Ability to resolve issues & handle conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills – both written and verbal
- Exceptional problem-solving ability with a solution focus and attention to detail.
- Understand the value of solving the problem once
- Understand the concept of “Best Practice”
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology
- Team player - ready to contribute whatever it takes or play any role on a team to get the job done
- Great attitude to learning and developing both your own skills and that of the team
- Passion for service excellence and continuous service improvement

The successful applicant will have experience in the following areas:
- IP Networking (WAN/LAN/Routers/Switches/Firewalls)
- Phone Systems & VOIP
- Cloud Computing / Hosted Services (AWS / Azure)
- Data Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Terminal Server and Virtualization Technologies
- Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, IIS
- Operating Systems (Desktop / Server)
- Microsoft Office and Office 365
Highly Desired but not essential:
- Certifications such as ITIL. MCSE or MCITP, CCNA or Sophos.
- Ticketing System (ConnectWise or similar)
- Continuum (or similar) RMM Tool
Key Success Factor for this role is the depth and breadth of skills and a real passion to excel in a Managed Service environment.
Candidates must hold working rights for Australia either Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency. Candidates must also demonstrate flexibility and be willing to work outside of business hours including nights and weekends.
