POSITION SUMMARY

Database Administrator, with strong experience across SQL and Oracle, required within a Business Application team at a key public sector organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral team member in designing and managing the databases to ensure the highest levels of availability and performance. The Senior Database Administrator will be joining an excellent team and culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ongoing design, support and management of organisation's databases
• Review and revise practices and processes to enhance efficiency of access for users
• Plan and implement system upgrades
• Provide on-site and on-call support to minimise system down time
• Escalation of system issues to vendors
• Identify gaps in system performance and implement improvements
• Provide solution design services through the evaluation and implementation of solutions along with the architecture team

KEY CRITERIA

• Extensive MS SQL database administration experience, preferably 2014 and 2017
• Extensive Oracle database administration experience, preferably 11g and 12c
• Sound knowledge of Biztalk, Power BI, SharePoint would be advantageous
• Excellent relationship management skills across project teams
