Currently an opportunity exists at our Service Desk for a highly motivated person to join the IT Service Delivery Team based at our headquarters in Truganina.

About the role

Part of the Service Desk team, this role is the first point of contact for all IT requests and incidents for internal users. You will be expected to manage incoming jobs via email and phone, assess their urgency and either fix or escalate according to established policies and procedures.  This is a role where your communication and technical skills will be utilized daily and each task will challenge and engage you to find solutions promptly and professionally.

Day to day duties will include;

  • Provide 1st level technical support to internal users and customers via phone, email and face to face
  • Logging and maintaining incidents and service requests within the Service Desk software and escalating service desk incidents and requests to the appropriate groups within the IT Team.
  • Taking ownership of incidents and requests to an end resolution and ensure users are kept up to date on their status throughout the process.
  • Ordering and procurement of IT equipment and services as well as maintaining asset registers
  • Manage the preparation of user hardware and associated peripherals for deployment
  • Participate in after hours on call support roster

To be successful for this position you will have;

  • Knowledge and experience using Windows desktop operating systems including Windows 7 & 10, including MS office
  • Be adaptable to working in an open plan fast paced team environment
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal including a professional phone manner and the ability to explain technical issues using non-technical language
  • A desire to develop a career in the IT Industry
  • IT Certification and experience in a similar position are desirable but not necessary
