Our client is a software house based in North Sydney currently seeking a Junior C++ Developer. You will join a high performance team that is outstanding in quality of their delivery.
Although our client is an Australian company, they can now be considered global.
Job description and basic accountabilities:
Have a strong technical ability with a desire to build scalable and efficient solutions that align with our client's product architecture and strategy.
You worked on C++ projects in your most recent job, ideally on enterprise software proYou are passionate about software development and keep a collection of favorite open source libraries.
Working in mid-sized team and working in Agile way, you are able to develop prioritised features with high quality that delights customers.
You'll have a strong desire for continuous improvement within your team, and across the wider department
Requirements:
*2+ years professional SW development experience in Agile/Scrum.
*Proficiency in Windows development using Visual Studio 2013 or later
*2+ years experience in modern C++ using templates and STL, with a fair knowledge of the language specification
*Thorough knowledge of the standard library, STL containers, and algorithms.
*Proven experience in developing software using TDD and test automation.
*Proficiency in at least one other language such as C#, JavaScript, Perl, or Python.
*Experience in Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery.
Highly desirable:
*Experience in Web development using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
*Programming in Linux/Unix environments.
*Previous professional experience working with development tools like Jira, Confluence, SVN, Git...
*Exposure to major databases systems like Postgresql, Sql Server, MongoDB.
*Exposure to programming in a distributed database environment like Azure SQL Data Warehouse and/or AWS Redshift.
Interview process: this is a fast-moving opportunity split in 2 rounds with immediate results. Your development skills will be tested as a part of the interview process and will be critical for your success in this selection.
