Joining a financial services organisation in Sydney CBD you will be a critical member of the team being the point of contact for all technology requests and issues. You will coordinate the service desk dealing with around 15-20 enquiries per day across Australia and New Zealand. If you are looking for entry level role in a forward thinking organisation and are looking to begin your career then this is definitely the opportunity for you!

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:

  • Maintain end user equipment (laptops, desktops, mobiles);
  • Assist in the daily management of all support ticket enquiries;
  • Develop knowledge based articles to provide faster and improved resolution times;
  • Assist with projects defined by the technology roadmap;
  • Uphold a supportive and organised service culture;
  • Record and maintain information on starters and leavers ensuring systems are kept up to date;
  • Recommend resolutions to any gaps or vulnerabilities in current processes;
  • Assist in user security and safe computing practices;
  • General IT assistance and maintenance and any ad hoc project initiatives.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Technology or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above duties;
  • Excited by the thought of working with people and technology;
  • Experience in troubleshooting and solving user problems (essential);
  • Experienced in deciphering complex concepts clearly and concisely for others to understand;
  • Able to build interpersonal relationships and comfortable being the level 1 point of contact for all service desk enquiries;
  • Experience in general IT maintenance;
  • Ability to navigate through tasks and multiple transactions with ease, accuracy and to deadlines;
  • Solution-focused;
  • Ability to critically think and implement improvements where required;
  • Attentive to detail;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ready to learn, grow and develop your skills.
