Our government client is in need of a SQL developer for a 12 months daily rate contract role based in Sydney CBD.
You will work in the Data Analytics, Actuarial and Reporting team and work on development and maintenance of SQL analytical and ETL code.
Working within a greenfield DevOps environment, you will collaborate with data consumers, database development, testers and IT support teams.
You will understand, analyse and size user requirements and work on development and maintenance of system documentation. Working in line with best practices, you will work on optimisation and tuning of SQL code to ensure optimal performance.
This is a rare long term contract role that is expected to extend further and you should be able to manage yourself and deliver to deadlines.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- SQL expert
- Metadata/model driven frameworks knowledge
- Worked in an Agile environment
- Worked on reverse engineering of end user SQL code
- Desirable to have worked with a Teradata SQL database
- Advantageous to have DevOps and/or Data Warehousing experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organised and able to manage own time and deliverables
