DevSecOps Engineer

Big Wave Digital are active in the Fintech recruitment space in Melbourne and currently have a terrific role for a DevSecOps Engineer that is working for a well-funded tech start up that is literally writing the next page on what Fintech and more specifically where the Cryptocurrency world is going.
 
We all know that there has been a lot of hype around the ‘potential’ or game-changing nature of Fintechs and the rise and rise of Blockchain and associated Cryptocurrencies or Smart Contracts but this is a company that is inventing the next … page.
 
Our client has been around for the last year and have grown from 3 people to a crack team of 30 consisting of some fantastically talented technologists.  They are garnering serious recognition for what they have already achieved and what they WILL be doing. This is a hugely exciting space for a techy to be involved in!
 
Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer, successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability of consistently thinking ahead of attackers and both internal and external risks, the ability to develop , script and streamline security operation processes and contribute to the core platform.
 
Responsibilities will include security design, secure service deployment, continuous security monitoring, security remediation and working closely with other Security Engineer / Analysts to ensure the rapid delivery of our secure services.

• In depth knowledge of networking, infrastructure, and applications from a DevOps perspective with a high security focus.
• Experience in deploying security appliances and practices in public cloud environments; Google Cloud, MS Azure or Amazon Web Services.
• In depth experience with data-loss prevention, anti-virus software, intrusion detection and prevention, firewalls, proxies, and content filtering systems.
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods.
• Experience with identity and access management solutions (both cloud and on premise solutions)
• In dept understanding of the methods of technical attack and how these can be detected in a digital environment.
• Experience performing security assessments of network, host and application platforms, with the ability to script vulnerability scans and assessment tasks.
• Experience with planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures.
• Skills with microservices, containers, workload templates and automating security solutions.
• Skills in DDOS mitigation platforms, Arbor, Radware or Cloudflare.
• Forensic experience investigating breach cause and reason.
• Experience with all main distributing Operating Systems (Windows, Mac and Linux)
• 2+ year’s experience in programming and scripting languages.
• Experience with scaling solutions, load balancing, virtual machines and containerised environments
