About the Role
This role is responsible for planning, directing and maintaining the design, installation and connectivity of systems and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of the organisation's IT assets.
This includes, but is not limited to; developing, configuring, maintaining and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links.
About You
- Solid experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide network architecture including LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, Cisco ASA, Routers, Communication Links, etc.
- Knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
- Competent in performing Level 2-3 Support Requests/Requirements, and liaising with Clients, Vendors & Regional/Global Support Teams where necessary.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, network interface cards, etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts, and telecommunications principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ITIL and industry best practices, including technical writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills with the ability to perform tasks with a high regard to details.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with staff, clients, third party service providers and vendors.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of both local, regional and globally based teams.
- Strong customer service orientation, combined with the ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
