Our world renowned defence client is seeking exceptional Test Bench Engineers to join their Engineering team. The role will include testing software requirements against the functional flow set out in the requirements, integration and testing, reporting on errors, compiling software, software code changes, bench testing, requirements and mapping of plans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Test the structure, integration and completeness of requirements and develop system test cases for execution during iterative development.
- Become familiar with the software under test and any other related software
- Find bugs during test, and be able to sufficiently analyse software error logs to be able to help determine the nature of the fault
- Create test data required for testing
- Set up the required test beds (hardware, software and network)
- Provide inputs to the team in order to improve the test process
- Providing objective feedback to the software development team
- Communicating findings to technical and non-technical colleagues
Essential Criteria:
- MUST HAVE Tertiary degree qualifications in relevant technical discipline
- MUST HAVE 5 years integration and testing experience within defence projects/systems
- MUST BE a Level 2 (or above) Experienced Practitioner
- MUST HAVE skills and experience in Atlassian software
- High-level interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a group environment and with people across all organizational levels
- A collaborator with strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent technical problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated
