A little about the role:

This role will be leading a team to develop to product high quality code that is a part of a well-established Australian company. You will work in an agile way to ensure that my client's software is enhanced and maintained. You will help us build and manage the technology work in an agile squad within the digital team and be responsible for providing solution for ongoing system enhancements and help developers with owning the solution end to end.

More specifically, you will:

• Work in an Agile team environment
• Experience working within the AWS environment
• Gather technical requirements and propose solutions based on client’s architectural needs
• Work with technology and business groups to define project specifications
• Develop technical and implementation plans and take full ownership
• Research and track developments in the mobile and application segments
• Estimations based on requirements
• Develop a quality of code that is to the highest level and minimise reworks
• Research and implement new industry trends and current best digital practices
• Comfortable working in Linux environments (SSH, basic navigation etc.)

My client is looking for someone who is mature and commercial minded in their approach with the desire to have person grow into an integral leader of their team for today and in to the future.

Key requirements:

• Experience in designing and developing scalable web based & Mobile applications
• Hands-on programming and debugging skills on Java 8, Springboot, JavaScript, JSP/Servlet, J2EE design patterns
• Hands-on programming and debugging skills on Amazon ECS, Lambda, AWS API Gateway and other AWS services
• Service Integration Concepts (especially with RESTFUL services/ SOAP based web services)
• Design and develop solutions for Non-Functional Requirements (Performance analysis & tuning, Benchmarking/load testing, Security)
• Good knowledge of JSON, XPath
• Strong Communication Skills
• Working knowledge of iOS, Android and Mobile Web Platforms
• Understanding of standard protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS and session management concepts
• Experience in handling enterprise application deployment architectures, environments and providing solutions to problems in scalability, performance, availability, reliability, security etc.
• Experience with AEM 6.2 site structure, custom components, custom workflows, object model designs (Java APIs), and unit testing
• Project Delivery: Estimation, Co-ordination and Client Communication, Reviews
• Research & Innovation: Proof of concepts
• Comfortable working in Linux environments (SSH, basic navigation etc)

Desired skills:

• Java 8
• AEM 6.X
• AWS API Gateway platform for APIs
• Amazon Web Services – ECS. Lambda, SQS, Redis, S3, etc.
• Node.js, NPM, Webpack, Gulp
• Micro-service architecture
