About the role

This Web Developer will work on client based projects and internal projects. Depending on the size and scope of the project you may be working on these as an individual or within a team. Some projects are completed within weeks and some take months and others are ongoing.

It is expected that you will be able to handle both front and back end work but they completely understand you could be a specialist in one and not both.

As a Web Developer you will be closely working with senior staff as well as key stakeholders. This will involve providing key technical input on projects and estimations on the duration of tasks. Depending on the project and your skillset you may find yourself as the sole contributor of all the code, you could be contributing to a team setting, collaborating and working with that team to solve complex problems and provide an appropriate solution.

As the Web Developer you will be able to utilise cutting edge technologies and languages and be provided the flexibility to choose the tech stack for most of their new projects.
 
 
Required Skills:

• Experience using MVC based web back end stacks (Examples: Laravel / Ruby On Rails / Django / MEAN / etc)
• An understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and their semantics
• Good eye for UX design
• Experience using CSS Frameworks such as Bootstrap 4+, Foundation, Semantic UI, etc
• Experience in Javascript frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, etc
• Experience using front end tooling such as Webpack, Gulp and Grunt
• Experience in Version Control (Git)
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to work on your own with little guidance
• Clear communication skills both written and verbal

Be highly proficient in the at least one of these languages:

• PHP
• Ruby
• Python
• Java
• Node / Javascript
• Go
• C#

Would greatly help:

• Experience in Agile development methodologies (they use Scrum)
• Worked in cloud based environments (they use AWS)
• Familiar with SSH and Linux
• SQL (MySQL will be used primarily, but may depend on the project)
• Experience using Vagrant / Docker or similar systems
• Experience developing or using APIs
