Kennards Hire is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst for a 12 month fixed term contract based in our Head Office at Seven Hills.

The role..

The purpose of the role is to lead BI and reporting initiatives across the business to deliver insights that drive strong commercial outcomes.

The successful candidate will participate in the analysis of the existing BI application and assist in the design, development, testing and implementation of BI solutions

• Working closely with key Stakeholders to clearly define and understand reporting and data.
• Evaluate customers’ needs and abilities in order to provide appropriate solutions.
• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
• Develop and write business requirements identifying any opportunities for efficiencies and business improvement.
• Determine and analyse commonly used queries and reports. Data extraction and consolidation from multiple sources.
• Profile and identify business trends.
• Perform detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, test cases, and performing some user acceptance testing.
• Explore the data and discover patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends.
• Develop comprehensive E2E test cases and perform user acceptance testing.
• Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies.
• Provide insights, recommendations and improvement for the operation of dashboards, reports etc.
• Design, develop, maintain and improve data visualisations, dashboards and reports.
• Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data.
• Design and deliver end-user training and training materials.
• Monitor analytics and metrics results.
• Proficient in all pillars of the Microsoft Business Intelligence offering, including Azure technologies.

About you..

You will have excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills with a history of leading and supporting successful projects. Your strength will be attention to detail and your ability to understand a customer's business needs and translate into IT specific requirements.

Specifically, we are looking for a vibrant BI professional;

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, finance or related field
• 5+ years in BI focused business/tech analysis roles
• Ability to develop business case and business requirement documents based on knowledge of customers
• Experience with data analysis and modelling
• Have advanced data literacy skills, with the ability to review data sets, determine and link dependencies, identify inconsistencies, determine the cause of problems and identify remedies.
• Be able to manipulate data using SQL.
• Demonstrated experience in BI solution design and delivery
• Experience in assessing the benefits of recommended solutions
• Root cause analysis, develop and implement practical and timely solutions
• Have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to a variety of stakeholders.
• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
• Experience in Tableau and Power BI (Highly Beneficial)
• Machine learning and/or data mining (Beneficial)
