IPSec is one of Australia's fastest growing information security specialist companies, delivering information security capabilities to businesses and all levels of government across Australia.  Recent growth requires IPSec to operate a 24 x 7, manned security operations centre (SOC) and this role is for applicants to join the IPSec SOC team.

IPSec is seeking an energetic, intelligent and self driven IT professional who is looking to enter and foster a career within the specialised information security sector.

IPSec requires an individual with excellent verbal and written English communication skills, who is able to quickly grasp highly detailed concepts, and can then articulate them to others in a manner that is easily understood.

The successful candidate should have a good understanding of IT network systems and common Internet communications (WWW, Email, TCP, IP).  The candidate should also have a high level of competency using computer systems and configuring highly complex computer solutions.

Within IPSec the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of information security, including firewall, IPS, anti-virus, anti-spam, SIEM and other solutions.  In time the opportunity will also exist to learn about security auditing and other more advanced security concepts.

In this role, the applicant will be responsible for:

• Providing Level 1 helpdesk support to IPSec's clients;
• Monitoring of IPSec and client IT security solutions;
• Providing Level 1 response to incidents;
• Providing assistance to the delivery team for the provision of security solutions to clients;

This position is structured shift work on a 24x7 basis.

It is a requirement of this role that the successful applicant be able to conduct the role from IPSec's head office in Notting Hill, Victoria.
