About the role
As Security Solutions Architect you will utilise your strong design experience to develop and design the architecture solution components and artefacts required to drive and support the ASD top 37 initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and document various ASD 37 security technologies
- Review project requirements, design new solutions and recommend new security controls to meet risk appetite and the objectives.
- Provide advice on ASD top 37 controls and solution criteria
- Assist risk assessments to define residual risk ratings.
- Develop and present new security patterns and standards to address the project objectives
- Collaborate with other SME architects to design new security solutions
- Collaborate with key technical SMEs to ensure new design components being recommended have met base enterprise architecture and security criteria.
- Drive the requirements for any security testing exercises and audit participation.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Security Architect
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience on designing enterprise security solutions and conducting risk assessments for large organisations.
- In depth knowledge and experience of ISO27001 and the ASD Top 37 controls and criteria
- CISSP, SABSA, SANS or similar industry certification
- Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment
- Knowledge across the emerging threat landscape and vendor technology countermeasures
- Strong technical capabilities in network and security environments and ASD policy criteria
- Prefer experience across utilities and SCADA environment implementations
- Experience with security suites from the following vendors/technologies Cisco, Juniper, SIEMs, Microsoft, Citrix & Fortinet products
