The Position
We are presently looking for a motivated, experienced Data Analyst with excellent communication skills to join our Information Technology team in Fremantle, Western Australia on a permanent full-time basis.
The primary task and responsibilities for this position:
- Gathering, cleansing, preparing and structuring data
- Extracting and identify trends and highlighting issues and opportunities
- Building custom dashboards, reports and quality presentations
- Use data discovery methods to identify and present information
- Providing high quality analytical support, planning and the facilitation of process improvement
- Contribute to the enhancement of MSCA’s BI & Analytics strategy
- Working with the team to assist in designing, developing and architecting Business Intelligence solutions
- Working across a variety of BI projects, embracing the Microsoft BI stack - SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and Power BI
The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate the below skills:
- A highly analytical individual
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding presentation skills
- A hands-on approach with a flexible can-do attitude
- Ability to organise and query complex data sets using sophisticated analysis tools
- Familiarisation within BI visualisation, data wrangling and data discovery tools
- Technical competency with Transact-SQL is a mandatory requirement.
- Working experience with R and/or Python is highly regarded
- Shipping and\or Logistics industry experience is desirable, however not essential.
- The applicant should have a relevant tertiary qualification
