About the role

Our Reporting / Data Analyst is tasked with the responsibility of delivering analytical and reporting services to the company. The position completes regular and ad-hoc reports, automates and improves self-service reporting and visualisation, and provides data analysis and business insights to a wide range of internal customers. By providing reports and insights to the company, this role delivers valuable assistance and regularly contributes to our success. The incumbent of this role also has the opportunity, and is encouraged, to proactively improve and develop their skill set.

Duties

Some of the typical duties expected of this role include:

• Conceive, design and implement new reporting and analytical tools
• Deliver timely and quality data services in accordance with relevant audit standards
• Identify, interpret and incorporate business needs into data processes
• Contribute to analytic projects
• Identify, scope, design, develop and maintain BAU process improvements
• Deliver decisive ad-hoc analyses to a variety of internal stakeholders
• Use visualisation tools and build dashboards to support internal customers
• Identify and implement a solution to best fit the needs of the internal customer
• Ensure all codes and tools are included in internal libraries, and are maintained and documented
• Assist implementation and maintenance of databases to ensure data integrity and traceability

About you

You will hold tertiary qualifications in business, technology or quantitative discipline, with some experience in data analysis, reporting and data storage tools (e.g. SQL, Excel) and skill in developing and deploying these in a business environment. Experience with visualisation and/or BI tools (ideally PowerBI) will be well regarded. Our ideal candidate will be able to communicate clearly across business functions in technical and non-technical terms, valuing collaboration and excelling in teamwork. You will be innovative and display high levels of accountability. Understanding the importance of, and committing to delivering, high quality service is essential.
