A prominent Australian & International property group seeks an Architect or Engineer for their Sydney office to join Sustainability Team (Residential Division). This is an ideal opportunity to join the leading property group in Residential developments in Australia.

What is it like to work there?
You will be working with a leading developer in their newly re-fitted corporate headquarters located close to trains and a major shopping centre.
They are truly supportive of their staff. We have added a number of people to their team since 2006 (including 2 Architects in 2016 and 2017) who are still happily employed with the company, which boasts a very low staff turnover generally. All our candidates have said they found it to be an even better environment than expected.
Your work day may include:
- Advocating, educating and influencing - not dictating to - the designers from the early stages of Master Planning, Streetscape Design, Urban Design, Architecture and Interior Design of medium-density housing projects
- Adding value to the design that will appeal to the residential market in terms of Sustainability
- Develop Sustainability Strategies, Business Plans, Feasibility Studies, Presentations and Implementation Plans
- Manage Green Star ratings submissions
- Assisting with analysing projects against BASIX, CCAP, Precinct, NatHERS, WELL, Passivhaus etc
- Reporting to the Manager Sustainability and working with their in-house Environmental Engineer Co-ordinator
- Liaising with external ESD Consultants on building energy modelling
- Liaising with Managers of all relevant Business Units in the company

Skills & Experience you will need:
- A minimum of 5 year’s post-graduate AUSTRALIAN Architectural or Engineering experience in a Sustainability role
- Green Star Accredited Professional - current registration is highly desirable
- Undertaking analysis including LCA, Building Modelling, etc
- Green Star submissions or similar
- Understanding of BASIX, CCAP, Precinct, NatHERS, WELL, Passivhaus, NABERS, LBC etc
- Preparing Sustainability Strategies, Business Cases and Feasibility Studies
- Bachelor and Masters of Architecture, or a Bachelor and Masters in Engineering
