The City of Canterbury Bankstown, the largest Council in NSW by population, is offering a rare opportunity in its Graphic Design Team. The permanent Part Time role would suit an experienced Graphic Designer, with a proven track record in the private and or public sectors, who is looking for diversity in their design work and sole responsibility of end-to-end job delivery.

The successful candidate will be a member of a growing unit, which currently comprises 14 communications professionals; share our passion for customer satisfaction and innovation; and truly ‘lives’ the Communications Unit’s vision and purpose – “We strive to keep our Council and community informed through consistent and engaging messaging”.

If you are up to the challenge, you will be required to:
• Have tertiary qualifications in visual, graphic or communications design;
• Have at least five years’ demonstrated experience in producing high quality, innovative and creative graphic/visual end-to-end design collateral, in accordance with brand guidelines, approval channels, protocols and customer briefs;
• Have demonstrated ability to produce multiple projects simultaneously in a tight timeframe;
• Have highly skilled use of Adobe CS5 Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and MS Office, using a Mac and PC; and
• Initially work 4 days a week until March 2019, then 5 days thereafter, at Civic Tower, 66-72 Rickard Road, Bankstown (8.30am-5pm).

What we offer:
• Permanent part-time position, becoming fulltime in March 2019, with attractive salary;
• A generous Accrued Time off (ATO) system, post March 2019; and
• Subsidised or reduced health and wellness programs.

Applications must be submitted online by clicking the 'Apply' button below and creating a login using your email address. Your application should consist of an updated resume (no more than 5 pages); a one-page cover letter, giving a summary of how you meet the above skill-set; and a link to your portfolio.
