An Assistant Interior Design position has become available at Caravan Interiors, North Bondi.
We are looking for a mature Graduate Interior Designer, with a minimum of 3 years industry experience, ideally with a background in high end residential design. As this is a full time salaried position, the qualified applicant must hold a Bachelor degree in Interior Design or equivalent and be looking for a long term commitment in building their career.
A high standard of personal and professional presentation with a confident and engaging phone manner is mandatory to fulfil this role along with precise attention to detail. At Caravan Interiors we are a small team of staff engaging with a larger team of sub-contractors on all our projects. Appropriate business skills to formulate email communication between clients and sub-contractors is crucial. The successful applicant will be able to seamlessly adapt to this unique working environment with a hands-on approach that can add value to both the team and our business. Excellent written communication skills are required, as you will work autonomously regularly emailing and coordinating between clients and contractors.
Skill requirements include but are not limited to: knowledge of and ability to create scaled drawings, advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Google Sketch-up & Adobe Photoshop, and full experience of using Windows Microsoft Office for Mac.
We also require this career-oriented person, who is passionate about design, to work within demanding deadlines whilst maintaining a flexible approach to the individual needs of each project. Driver's licence and car are essential.
