FLUX Agency is looking for a UI/UX Designer on a part-time basis to help us deliver our world class Shopify Ecommerce websites.

 

You:

Designing ecommerce is different to normal web design and the more online stores you have designed the better.  If you've worked with Shopify great, if not, we can teach you. Most important is that you understand customer journeys through buying processes and have a fine eye for design.

Most of our team are entrepreneurs and have side projects, so if you're doing that, cool.  The main things you need to be are; likeable, independent, proactive and a hardworking problem solver who's fun to hangout with.

Job:

As a UI/UX designer, you'll be leading design on 1 - 3 projects at any time.  You'll be working with our Creative Director who will oversee all jobs and keep FLUX on its path - to be the best ecommerce design agency in Australia. You will be tasked with taking a set of client requirements and design inspiration and then designing complete ecommerce sites, to a dev ready level for desktop, mobile and tablet. Smaller design projects will also come across your desk for our retainer-based clients.

You will be expected to understand and have knowledge of front-end development so that you can communicate your vision to our devs. 

 

When:

This is a part-time role.  You can work remotely most days (if you want - We have an office in Caulfield).  The expectation is that you'll be available between 2-3 days a week. A full day in the office on Thursday is required for internal catchups and afterwork drinks from our small but substantial whisky bar.

 

Where:

We have a pretty sweet office in leafy Caulfield North. Its white, high ceilings and the perfect canvas to let your creativity soar. 
We are coffee snobs so always have tasty roasts on hand. 
We share an office with an amazing health food brand so theirs regularly healthy protein bars flying around in the afternoons to keep you going on those big design slogs.

The office is situated right out the front of a tram stop serving the 16 and 64 lines. Malvern train station is a 2 min walk away. 

Also, super pupper friendly.

Must Haves:

  • 4+ Years experience of UI/UX design with demonstrated experience in ecommerce
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Experience using Sketch and Invision
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • ABN
  • Own computer
  • Own phone
  • Can-do attitude
