Our designs provide the fashion forward woman with sophisticated, sexy and chic styles that are easily recognised around the world. Our Brand is also supported by our wholesale business that includes international names such as Saks, Neiman Marcus, Intermix and Shopbop
This position will ensure the continuance of our renowned designs and collections.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Extensively research creative ideas and present seasonal mood board, colours, fabrics and trims to Creative Director
- Creating and producing designs by hand or using CAD
- Concepting each monthly range in line with brand’s voice and cohesive to prior / future collections
- Working with Garment Tech to fit all monthly ranges and provide feedback and design changes to factories
- Allocate all styles to appropriate factories
- Development of samples from first fit to SMS
- Sourcing fabrics, trims and embellishments
- Designing of prints
- Present seasonal ranges to our Wholesale Managers
- Prioritise workload and meet key deadlines and milestones with relation to the company critical path
Specific requirements:
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a collaborative team environment.
- Affinity with high end fashion, an instinct for style and an eye for aesthetics.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and continually meet tight deadlines
- A fashion design degree from a recognised Australian or international institution
- Energetic and Enthusiastic attitude
- A genuine passion for high end fashion
- At least min 2-5 years experience as a Designer
- Advanced understanding of garment construction, fit and finishes
- Experience using design programs such as CAD, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- Excellent technical drawing ability
- Strong time management skills
