The Role
We are currently seeking a hands-on Senior Graphic Designer of Communications to join our Communications ANZ team in Port Melbourne. Reporting to the Head of Communications ANZ, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated Graphic Design team and the production of communication materials including; print, digital, presentations and other mediums as required to deliver high impact and effective messages internally.
As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for the following duties:
• Deliver strategic proposals and operational communication presentations to Partners & Stores
• Mentor and inspire the personal and professional development of the Graphic Design team
• Develop and influence relationships with key stakeholders to take them on a journey from concept to finished projects whilst meeting expectations and business objects
• Manage Branding, Digital and Printed communication projects by producing creative designs implementing time and costing plans to meet business deliverables
• Traffic manage workflow of the Graphic Design team to meet changing deadlines and priorities
• Maintain shared library of images/style guides, artwork files and administrative processes
• Work with a range of media and staying up to date with emerging technologies
What we are looking for
You will have a strong understanding of working in a production based environment where project completion is time sensitive. Above all else, you are creative, results-driven and a motivated team player.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the following:
• Extensive editorial and typographical design experience
• Technical proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and a flair for visual storytelling
• Sound knowledge of prepress as well as digital production
• Medium to high proficiency in Mac-based Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with DSLR, with a good handle on lighting and Apple Mac would be advantageous
• Demonstrable ability to work cohesively and bring a positive influence to a close-knit team environment
• Well organised, with excellent project management skills. Ability to take a brief from concept to print/digital ready finished art in a timely manner
• Flexible and accountable, with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, changeable environment
• A passion and enthusiasm for the role of design in communication
