Who are we?

We're Sunnylife, an Aussie lifestyle brand born and based in Sydney. But we've got offices in Los Angeles and London too.

We're sun seekers, chasers and stalkers. We live for summer and the good times that surround it. While we get coats and scarves look great, we think bikinis and towels look better.

Privately owned, we specialise in bringing an Aussie summer to the rest of the world, starting in our own office.

Job Summary:

We are on the hunt for someone with a strong work ethic and great attitude to work on the global Sunnylife brand. Join our design team and help us draw pineapples, inflate flamingos, research trends, design products within the Sunnylife range, work on patterns, packaging and promotional assets.

As a Mid-weight Designer you will report to the Head of Design and work alongside design unicorns in our internal creative team. You'll be responsible for developing original concepts, executing designs based on style guides, developing detailed design specs for production, and helping all other designers on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities:

• Create visual designs that effectively communicate brand identity
• Packaging design
• Product design and renders
• Catalogue design and layout
• Photo editing retouching, colour correcting and optimisation of images
• Brand development
• Digital & Web Design of marketing assets from e-newsletters, web pages, promotional spots, affiliate collateral and social media
• Stay ahead of trends and new ideas and interpret those into fantastic creative
• Development of technical skills to stay abreast of software changes
• Handle multiple briefs at once
• Ensuring all creative adheres to style guidelines and articulates brand objectives

Who is the ideal candidate? 

• Advanced Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or Industrial Design
• An intimate knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign
• Minimum 3 years working in a design team
• Experience with print management
• Knowledge of colour management in varied applications
• Experience with packaging, logo and catalogue design
• Ability to work quickly from concept creation to finished product
• Able to understand the brand and vision of the business
• Able to organise own time and capable of working under pressure to tight deadlines
• Communicates clearly and regularly
• Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Can work independently and prioritise accordingly
• Expert design skills and proven experience using Adobe Creative Cloud
• A flexible attitude to adapt to a growing team as well as demanding business needs
• Pro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve the quality of the site
