The Institute of Managers and Leaders is a non-profit Membership organisation and the gold standard-setting professional body for management and leadership competence and excellence. We are seeking an enthusiastic engagement professional based in Cairns to work with IML's Cairns Advisory Committee. The successful applicant will be an advocate and ambassador for the IML brand and will help us build a vibrant community of managers and leaders in the region.

About the role:

Reporting to the Relationship Manager Central/ North Queensland, you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating IML Cairns based CPD events and initiatives.

This role is also responsible for the administrative coordination of all committee activities to strategically increase:

  • IML's Professional and Corporate Membership based in the region
  • Multi-channel member engagement activities and initiatives
  • IML's profile, brand and network within the regional business community.

You will seek out potential Members and follow through any Membership opportunities as required.

About you:

The successful applicant is a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously in a face-paced environment. No day is ever the same. The successful applicant enjoys flexibility, seeking and cultivating new opportunities and forming genuine connections. You have a fully functional home office including but not limited to your own mobile phone, laptop, printer and scanner and access to a motor vehicle.

This is a 12 month contract role at 20 hours per month with the high probability of extension beyond 12 months.
