The Opportunity

In partnership with our client, we are currently recruiting for a motivated individual looking to kick-start their career in business administration. In this role, you will gain valuable industry work experience whilst working towards a Certificate III in Business Administration (BSB30415) over 12 months. In this role you will be instrumental working as part of our client’s accounts and finance team in Eight Mile Plains. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5:30pm. On a day-to-day basis, your typical responsibilities will likely include: 

  • Scanning and entering invoices into database system;
  • Maintaining project staff details and delivery address register;
  • Reception duties on a relief basis, attending to incoming visitors and maintaining visitor log;
  • Attend to incoming and outgoing mail including couriers, faxes and emails;
  • General office management and internal staff functions;
  • Other duties as required.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a dynamic individual with excellent presentation, who has a sincere interest in developing a career in business administration, with a focus on finance and accounts. You must love working with teams, have a friendly approach and good multi-tasking ability. Along with these qualities, you will:

  • Have strong computer skills, including an excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel;
  • Have the confidence to communicate professionally with a variety of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Possess an ability to work in a team;
  • Have an ability to organise and prioritise tasks whilst under pressure and to meet deadlines;
  • Be willing to learn and have a can-do attitude;
  • Have strong attention to detail with an ability to review own work for accuracy; and
  • Be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, medical and drug & alcohol screening.

Possession of a driver’s licence and own transport will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
