About the role :
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Junior Purchasing Officer to join our Operations team at our Head Office in Notting Hill, Melbourne.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Operations Manager in managing and controlling all debtor related activities.
Duties for this role will include but not limited to:
- Purchasing from local and overseas suppliers
- Building & maintaining supplier relationships
- Negotiating pricing with suppliers
- Customer invoicing
- Maintaining min / max orders on a daily basis
- Other ad hoc duties
The successful candidate must have the following:
- Prior experience in a purchasing position in the IT channel
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to time manage
- Data entry skills
- Be able to think outside the box and willingness to learn about stock management
- Happy to work within a close knit team but with the ability to work autonomously as well
Software Licensing / subscription based experience would be an advantage.
Salary for the position is negotiable depending on the experience and skillset of the candidate.
