About Highlands LLEN

We are an independent, not-for-profit organisation working as part of the education sector to improve young peoples experience and pathways from education into employment. This includes a strong focus on building positive relationships with a range of stakeholders, advocacy and system change.

What's Involved

The Administration Officer will be integral in assisting HLLEN staff meet annual work plan targets, contribute to the VET Cluster partnership and support staff to meet the requirements of additional contracts managed by HLLEN. You will support a passionate and motivated team who are focused on providing a range of programs/projects to ensure "All young people in our communities are provided opportunities to successfully engage in education, training or employment" (HLLEN Vision).

Conditions

Salary Range:

$48,001 to $ 51,024 annual salary (depending on experience)

9.5% Superannuation.

Term of Employment: 

July 2018 – December 2019 (with a possible extension)

38 hours per week

Key Selection Criteria

  1. A qualification (minimum Certificate IV) in office administration, information technology, multimedia or a related discipline is desirable AND/OR relevant industry experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in the provision of administrative and executive support to senior management, including the development, maintenance and review of office systems and standard operating procedures and appropriate documentation.
  3. Demonstrated ability to be proactive, excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  4. Sound problem solving skills and ability to provide attention to detail in all tasks.
  5. Proficient and accurate keyboard skills, a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer-based office systems, well developed document design skills, an ability to work with social media, online databases and website content.
  6. Appropriate interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with HLLEN Committee and Membership, external agencies and the public, face-to-face, by phone and electronically.
  7. Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to work professionally and effectively within a small team.
  8. Demonstrated capacity to identify, research and analyse issues and prepare written and data reports in an appropriate style.
  9. Current Driver's Licence and a Working with Children Check are required.
