Administrative Assistant

Our Company has been established for over 100 years and is a small, progressive machinery supply company situated in Silverwater. We are renowned as the industry leader in our niche that supplies capital equipment to a very wide cross-section of Australian manufacturing industry.

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant/Allrounder to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office duties and managing our Company’s overall general activities.

The role includes

  • Answering and directing phone calls to relevant staff and being the first point of contact for external stakeholders.
  • Processing, receipting and directing mail and incoming goods and dispatch of outgoing goods and mail.
  • Data entry of Purchase Orders and Supplier invoices into MYOB and creating Sales Invoices in MYOB.
  • Scheduling meetings and appointments
  •  Preparation of documents for business trips and meetings.
  •  Ordering and taking stock of office supplies.
  •  Researching and booking travel arrangements for staff members.
  • Filing and archive management.
  • Updating and maintaining databases.
  •  Perform other office duties as assigned.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, particularly in a small team environment.
  • The ability to interact confidently with staff and external clients at all levels.
  • Flexible and innovative approach, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  •  Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  •  Experience with Microsoft Suite, MYOB and Xero.
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a small team
