Design & Build are currently inviting applications for the role of Administration Officer to join a Council in Melbourne’s inner suburbs in their Statutory Planning team. The position will see you tasked with providing high level administrative support to assist in the day to day running of the Planning department.

Supporting a large team you must have the ability to provide and maintain an effective administrative system for the processing of Planning applications & other planning related matters. 

Requirements; 

• Relevant Administration qualifications with equivalent experience in a similar role within Local Government
• Knowledge of broader Planning & Design department functions
• General understanding of relevant Acts & Regulations
• Significant experience in business administration including experience with database / systems such as; Tech1, Pathway and TRIM or similar
• Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work in order to contribute to overall goals of the department
• Ability to gain confidence, co-operation and assistance from a range of stakeholders
• Ability and confidence to discuss and resolve basic Planning administration issues with counterparts and other council departments
