HOBAN is seeking to engage the knowledge and experience of 2 Business Support Officers for a Federal Government scheme based in Penrith. Commencing in Mid August, this is a temporary role until June 2019 (equivalent to APS4 Level) with possibility of further extension.

This role will be responsible for assisting the Quality team with activities that support day to day operations. This will include liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to manage and co-ordinate responses in regards to Level 1 Complaints handling, responding to enquires from Local Members and Senators, Freedom of Information compliance activities, management of Quality positional email inbox, and any other adhoc tasks as required.

Reporting to management, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage and coordinate Level 1 complaints received by the Agency including resolving at point of entry, assessing, recording and referring as required
  • Supporting the National Complaints Team and Regional hubs to provide timely and proactive advice for complaints management across the region
  • Escalate issues to Senior Complaints officers as necessary and ensuring strict deadlines are met
  • Recording complaints in the Feedback Management System
  • Work with the Quality team to Identify system complaint themes to improve service delivery
  • Build and manage collaborative stakeholder relationships and work closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct the monthly participant post-plan implementation surveys
  • Undertake administrative functions of the team as required
  • Undertake research to prepare associated reports and correspondence

As an experienced Business Support Officer, you will possess demonstrable skills and attributes in:

  • Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability.
  • Competency with IT systems, especially around records management
  • Adaptable communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage in negotiation if dealing with external providers
  • Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.Collaboration
  • Ability to work within the team and adapt quickly to a changing environment.
  • Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for participants
  • Ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
  • Ability to synthesise and analyse information and make decisions.
  • Judgment and decision making within delegated limits in relation to accountability of funds and interactions with individuals and communities.

Hours of work for this role are 8.30am-5pm, pay rate $40+p.h + super.
