The Role 

Epworth Richmond is seeking Ward Clerks to join its casual bank to work a variety of shifts across all clinical areas including acute and rehabilitation. You will be able to commit to being available at short notice to work weekdays, and have a flexible approach to a work schedule. This is an opportunity to use and develop your skills and make a difference.

Duties include:

  • Greeting and directing visitors to the ward
  • Admissions and discharges
  • Managing telephone calls and enquiries
  • Liaising with all areas of the hospital team and key external stakeholders, including the treating teams, support services and referrers

Skills & Experience

To be successful for this role you will demonstrate:

  • A strong customer service focus
  • A proactive approach and “can do” attitude
  • Excellent communication and problem solving abilities
  • Understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements

Administrative experience in a health care setting is desired.
