Detail information about job Chaos Co-ordinator (aka Office All-Rounder). Terms and conditions vacancy

Wanted: Superstar Chaos Co-ordinator (aka Junior Office All Rounder)

We are looking for a savvy office all-rounder. “Organised” is your middle name, you’re a super speedy learner, a detail has never escaped your attention, and juggling 20 balls at once is your specialty. You pride yourself on your ‘can-do’ attitude and nothing is ever too much trouble.

If that sounds like you, we can offer you the most unique, fun and special workplace you will have ever worked for. You can throw away your suit, put on your Converse (or whatever your sneakers of choice are) and expect laughs every single day. As well as having fun, we are a bunch of incredibly hard-working, passionate people, who go above and beyond (every single day) to deliver amazing work for our clients.

So…who are we?

We are Inventium, Australia's leading innovation consultancy. We have helped over 100,000 people become better innovators since 2007. We apply the latest findings from science (psychology and neuroscience) to help organisations unlock growth through innovation. We do this through training, facilitation, general consulting, and assessment. We are the official partners of the AFR Most Innovative Companies list – an annual list that identifies Australia's most innovative companies. We've previously made the BRW Fast 100 list twice AND won the BRW Client Choice Award for Best Management Consultancy. We are also a proud BCorporation.

Who are you?

Ideally you will have had at least one year of full-time experience working in an administrative role or you might be studying something like business or psychology. What’s most important for us is that this unique opportunity genuinely excites you and that you have the following qualities:

- You are keen to learn & solve problems

We have a very autonomous culture, so we are looking for someone that just jumps in and gives things a go, rather than waiting to be asked. Google is your best friend when it comes to finding answers to things you haven’t encountered before.

- You are always happy to help

Nothing is ever too much trouble. Find a boardroom table that can be delivered by tomorrow when all the suppliers are saying lead times are four weeks? Easy! Help our client fix a tech issue in our workshop space? No trouble at all! Organise catering for an event with only two hours notice? Done!

- You are always looking for ways to help

“Proactive” is one of the first words that comes to mind when your work mates describe you. You love being busy, and you are always keeping an eye out for ways you can help the team, keep the office looking clean and tidy, or improve how things are done.

- You bring a positive energy to work everyday

Our team is a bunch of positive and passionate individuals who absolutely love what we do and are grateful for the amazing company we work for. We want to keep it this way!

So let’s get down to the nitty gritty. Here are some details on what the role involves:

There are several key parts to this role:

- Co-ordinating our workshop space, The Odd One Out (e.g. setting up, packing up, organising catering, providing 5 star hospitality to our clients).

- Front line administration (e.g. answering our phone/emails, filling product orders)

- Running office errands (e.g. printing things, posting things)

- Looking after our office: (e.g. watering our plants, greeting visitors, ordering supplies)

- Helping our Finance & Operations Manager stay on top of accounts administration

- Ad-hoc admin/organisational challenges that we throw your way!

There is lots of opportunity to expand this role once you are up to speed!

So what are the absolute “must-haves” for this role?

To really shine in this role, you will:

  • Have a real passion for providing administrative support and hospitality
  • Be a super fast typist – we are talking at least 60 words per minute
  • Be a fast learner, especially when it comes to learning new software
  • Ideally be experienced working on a Mac computer (we only use Macs)
  • Be a genuinely friendly, down-to-earth person with a great sense of humour (and no this is not a dating ad!)

What we can offer you

  • An exciting, fast-paced and creative working environment where you will never ever have to wear a suit to work EVER AGAIN.
  • A team where there are no Egos – just really lovely, funny, nice people (if we do say so ourselves) who love what we do
  • An amazing, creative office that is based in the CBD above Chin Chin.
  • Flexible arrangements if required (e.g. 4 days per week or late starts) to work around study or other commitments.
  • Unlimited Annual Leave (Rebalance Leave Policy)
  • An Apple Mac laptop (we hate PCs – they drive us nuts).

If you have made it this far, and love the sound of this one in a million opportunity here's what to do right now:

  1. Tell us in 150 words or less why this role sounds perfect for you. Please attention this letter to Michelle Le Poidevin.
  2. Attach your CV for us to have a look at.
  3. Submit via seek.

Thanks in advance for your interest in Inventium. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
