About the business
The QCWA is one of the largest women's volunteer organisations in Queensland. Since 1922, the QCWA has been about women from all over Queensland coming together for many different reasons, meeting new people, making new friends, learning new skills or getting involved in the community. An overall desire for friendship and helping others has banded the women of this organisation together.
About the role
The QCWA Country Kitchens program aims to support people living in regional, rural and remote Queensland to improve their health by adopting healthier eating practices. This role is vital in supporting the organisation and coordination of six team members to travel to these locations, designing and developing nutrition promotion content for social media and online resources. Excellent communication skills required.

Skills and experience
- To support and assist with a range of administration duties for QCWA Country Kitchens program.
- Manage travel diaries for team of six, including booking accommodation, flights and car rental.
- Support QCWA Country Kitchens Facilitators through coordination of staff and resources to enable branches to implement the Country Kitchens program.
- Liaising with QCWA members and the general public.
- Process mail, correspondence, answering incoming calls, assisting with enquiries and redirecting phone calls.
- Facilitate secretarial duties for weekly team meetings using teleconferencing services such as zoom or face-to-face attendance as directed.
- Assist with data entry and records management.
- Support team members to prepare credit card reconciliation each month, MYOB™ skills desireable.
- Maintain all program stationery materials and spare kitchen equipment as required to ensure adequate stocks are in place.
- Assistance with creation of online program materials (incl. nutrition promotion) using Wordpress ™, Mailchimp™, Canva™, publisher (InDesign™ skills desireable).
- Monitor and develop nutrition promotion content on Country Kitchens Social Media/Networking sites including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter.
- Good knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office™ programs, in particular Word™, Excel™, Publisher™ and Outlook™.
- Secretarial support for all program governance meetings between State Executive Board and Queensland Health project management team.
- Updating and maintaining the Country Kitchens Policy and Procedural documents.
- Manage sales and stock for all cookbooks, including processing orders, invoicing and reconciliation of purchases.
- General working knowledge of office equipment including: photocopier; franking machine; binding machine; folding machine etc
