An exciting and rewarding position exists within the New Lambton branch of our growing National Accounting and Business Services firm for a Receptionist to join our team, full-time, on a 6-month maternity contract between July 2018 and December 2018.

WSC Group's special focus is property investment, including advice on portfolios, optimal structures for holding property and managing the taxation aspects of holding and selling property.  We assist property investors with the preparation of their yearly tax returns and tax variations and also prepare annual accounts and tax returns for trusts, self-managed superannuation funds and corporate entities that hold property assets.   Our CEO, David Shaw, received the Your Investment Property Magazine Readers' Choice Award for 2013 Property Tax Specialist of the Year.

As part of our training and development for our staff, we hold weekly in-house training sessions for our accounting team members to discuss and review topics relevant to the clients within the firm.  In addition to this, each quarter, we arrange for a professional from outside of the organisation to present to staff.

As the face of the office, you will have exemplary customer service skills, be engaging and be able to work autonomously and hold yourself in front of a range of people, from highly respected clients to various other visitors to the firm. You will be immaculately presented and polished as you will be the face of the office.

You will have the ability to jump in and take charge of situations when needed and thrive in busy situations. The ability to multi-task will see you succeed in this role. You will also have the desire and ability to exceed expectations on all levels.

In this role you will be required to perform the following tasks:

  • Managing the reception area, including greeting clients and answering phone calls
  • Processing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Editing and typing documents using Microsoft Office
  • Invoice preparation and collation of documentation for despatching to clients
  • Jobflow maintenance
  • Basic company secretarial duties such as filing and retrieving documents
  • Support to accounting team members
  • Other ad hoc administration duties as and when required

The successful applicant will need to have:

  • Excellent client focus and a passion for providing superior customer service
  • Outstanding attention to detail and a good keyboard speed, with accuracy
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi task
  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Have completed a Certificate II or higher in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years experience in an administrative type role, preferably within a business services firm
