We are currently seeking a Community Housing Officer to join our team on a full time, maximum term basis for 12 months.

The Community Housing Officer is the first point of contact for residents within YWCA Australia’s community housing properties.  Acting within a team environment, the role will be responsible for:

  • complete tenancy management in line with legislative and company standards
  • providing advice and information to residents
  • completing inspections on our properties
  • raising maintenance concerns
  • undertaking data collection = using YWCA’s designated databases
  • reporting in line with organizational and legislative requirements

  1. Experience in Tenancy and property maintenance
  2. An awareness, understanding and sensitivity to homelessness issues
  3. Previously experience managing and maintaining tenancy data (previous experience with Chintaro highly desired)
  4. High level computer skills, particularly with Excel, Word and Outlook
  5. A clear understanding of the Victorian Residential Tenancies Act
