About the business and the role
BAC Consulting specialises in providing individual care support for a professional women in a wheelchair. We are seeking to enhance our established small team with 2 overnight new trainees, 1 evening/day people willing to work and learn new Individual Care Support techniques in High Physical Care.

Job tasks and responsibilities
KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS - Key components of this position include (but are not limited to):
- Provide personal care and overnight safe care services
- Assist to meet her daily living needs, including showering, dressing, toileting, accompanying her to physio, swimming and other health related programs
- Catheter wellness management
- Domestic duties/housekeeping
- Attend to all household cleaning and ironing
- Special Challenges
- Shiftwork (overnights) 8.00pm to 10.30pm with sleepover till 6.30am to 8.30am
- Evenings 5pm to 7pm
- Days 9.30 to 2.30pm.
KEY COMPETENCIES (TRAINING TO BE PROVIDED)
- Wheelchair management, hoist training
- Personal care in toileting, dressing and showering
- Personal care in positioning in bed, exercise regime, physio regime
- Household expectations in cleaning,
Skills and experience
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Experience working as a care worker to an individual disabled persons and the ability to keep your client safe overnight.
- If not, a willingness to learn in this area and to learn skills quickly and efficiently is required
- Any formal health care training could be an advantage.
- Mature work ethic
- High level privacy and confidentiality
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
- Must be autonomous and able to work independently
- Current driver's license (and own reliable transport), and willingness to learn how to drive a wheelchair accessible vehicle an advantage
- Current first aid
- Ability to work in a flexible work environment and small team
- Excellent phone manner – not afraid to answer phone or make a call
