Role Expectations

Understand  the development and implementation roll-out of the NDIS nationally, manage client transition to NDIS and subsequent service delivery. Continue to increase the capacity of the Business to respond to trends in changing service delivery and operating environments in the NDIS framework. Provide advice to senior management on the organisation’s transitioning to the NDIS market and relevant NDIS implementation issues

Service delivery and development

1.      Manage participant readiness and support their introduction to the NDIS

2.      Coordinate delivery of participants NDIS services once available

3.      Support the development and implementation of FCLPS NDIS business

4.      Ensure quality compliance requirements are maintained for new and existing NDIS services

5.      Assess external factors that are likely to impact on client and organisation transition to and within the NDIS framework

6.      Implement NDIS transition processes and provide advice and recommendations for organisational or service delivery change

7.      In collaboration with senior management identify possible areas for growth and opportunity within the NDIS framework.

People Management

·         Lead, manage, mentor and support staff to provide first level NDIS client support

·         The role is required to work with people at various levels of the Business

·         The role is required to work with and maintain effective working relationships with NDIS participants, carers, external agencies,  funding bodies and stakeholders

Administration

1.      Compile and submit NDIS service delivery reports

2.      Adhere to all FCLPS policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Confidentiality and Privacy.

3.      Perform all duties in accordance with organisational requirements.

4.      Identify any improvements to policy and/or procedures as they apply to the NDIS.

5.      Work as an effective team member in accordance with FCLPS mission, values and purpose.

6.      Other activities as directed.

Key Competencies

·         High level knowledge and experience in the disability support sector.

·         Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NDIS and its implementation to date

·         Demonstrated experience in managing complex disability supports and participants within community-based support services

·         High level communication and report writing skills and commitment to working collaboratively with stakeholders

Essential Criteria:

  • Have a working knowledge of the NDIS and have been involved in NDIS pre-planning
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the community sector and project management will be highly regarded
  • Current drivers licence.
  • Willingness to use own car for work purposes
