YWCAs undertake advocacy and deliver programs and services that develop the leadership and collective power of women and girls; support individuals, their families and communities at critical times; and promote gender equality and community strengthening.

The Women of Worth (WoW) program supports women involved in the justice system to implement positive lifestyle changes, re-engage with the community and reduce re-offending. WoW is a voluntary program that provides 6 months pre-release and up to one year post-release support. The program delivers a range of educational and creative workshops as well as case management support to women incarcerated at Darwin Correctional Centre (DCC). The objective of the program is to support participants to develop skills and capacity to reduce reoffending and provide practical assistance to reengage with the community.

The Employment Pathways Facilitator supports WoW clients to develop job ready skills, secure and maintain employment upon exiting the Correctional Centre.This position requires extensive liaison with the NGO, private and employment sectors to improve employment outcomes for women leaving prison. In addition, the Employment Pathways Facilitator designs, delivers and evaluates employment skills workshops to WoW clients pre and post release and coordinates a volunteer base of WoW clients who assist in the delivery of education programs. Settings for delivery will include (but not be limited to) Darwin Correctional Centre, Darwin Magistrates Court, Palmerston Drop-In Space, Community Corrections offices and client accommodation. This position includes travel to and service delivery in rural and remote communities.

The YWCA pays above award salaries and offers salary sacrifice options. This is a full time position under the Social, Community, Health Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. The classification for this role under the SCHCADS Award is Level 5,with a salary of $70,483.92.
