Doutta Galla Aged Services is a not-for-profit charitable organisation dedicated to the provision of high quality and responsive residential care services in seven locations across Western Metropolitan Melbourne and one location in regional Victoria.
We currently have a vacancy for a full time Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator at our Avondale Heights facility. Reporting to the Facility Manager, the position is full time (Monday to Friday) and is responsible for developing, planning and implementing a wide variety of lifestyle, leisure and recreational activities that provide a stimulating, engaging and interactive environment for residents, in order to maximise their health and wellbeing. This position would suit someone who genuinely enjoys working with residents and is passionate about continuous improvement of lifestyle activities in an Aged Care setting.
To be considered for this position you will have (or be working towards) a Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure or other relevant tertiary qualification. You will have a practical understanding of the ACFI, Accreditation Standards and its application to Leisure and Lifestyle programs. You must also have a current Level 2 First Aid certificate, Victorian driver's licence and be able to drive the resident outing bus.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be eligible to work in Aged Care under the Aged Care Act 1997 (Cth).
